Direct Rail Services (DRS) is making changes to its planned open day ticketing.
Due to a huge increase in demand, DRS has taken the decision to make their annual open day a ticket only event.
In previous years, tickets have been available to purchase on the day but due to the increase in expected numbers all tickets must be pre-ordered.
Tickets are available from DRS’s website www.directrailservices.com and cost £5 for adults, with under 16s free, who will also need a ticket.
All proceeds are used to aid UK charities and other deserving community causes.
The event in their Gresty Bridge depot, Crewe will open at 10am on Saturday 16 July and close at 4pm.
Chris Connelly, Rail Director and NTS’s Deputy CEO, said: “We’re overwhelmed by the interest in our open day this year and it promises to be a great event but, as with our operations, safety must take priority so we’re introducing pre-ordered tickets for first time.
“The team are working non-stop to make this year’s open day extra special and I cannot wait to see you all there in a few weeks’ time.”
