DRS Managing Director moves on
After 17 years of leading the development of DRS from a small scale nuclear rail freight operation to consistently the best performing UK Rail Freight Operator, Managing Director Neil McNicholas is moving on.
Neil was a founding member of DRS over 20 years ago and has overseen the development of an industry leading organisation that has delivered the highest standards of safety, security, quality and performance. In no small part that success has been achieved through the unique DRS culture that Neil and his team have created and developed through the years. His decision to step down follows the successful early delivery of the five year business growth and diversification plan.
Alan Moore, who is Chairman of the DRS Board and Head of Operational Services for the NDA, will take on the role of DRS Executive Chair. Alan has worked within the Nuclear Industry for over thirty years and chaired the DRS Board for the last six years.
In recognising Neil’s contribution Alan said “On behalf of all at DRS, The DRS Board the NDA and the wider industry I would like to thank Neil for the outstanding commitment and service he has given and wish him all the best for the future”.
