DRS Charity Open Day 2019

The annual DRS Open Day will take place at our Kingmoor depot in Carlisle on Saturday 20th July 2019 from 10am – 4pm.

Bring the family along for a fun day out as we invite you to have a look behind the scenes. We’ll have a range of locomotives on show, including the Class 88 and our friendly team will be on hand providing technical information about all things DRS. Industry experts will once again be advising you how to stay safe and there will be plenty of exhibitors selling railway memorabilia galore……. there is something for everyone.

You can pay the entry fee at the gate (preorder tickets are no longer available). Entry £5.00 (Under 16’s FREE – must be accompanied by an adult at all times).

Important Information:

Strictly NO hi-viz clothing to be worn on-site – entry will be refused to visitors wearing it.

Strictly NO parking at the Depot. NO smoking on-site.

Sensible footwear to be worn.

Sorry for your safety, no pedestrians are allowed on areas on ballast.

No Dogs allowed, except Guide Dogs or Assistance Dogs.

NO alcohol allowed on-site.

Please be aware that DRS reserve right of entry, even if you have a ticket.

All proceeds from this event are used to aid UK Charities and other deserving community causes.

Bus services

From Carlisle Railway Station you can take Stagecoach bus 76 from The Courts and get off at The Redfern Inn. Kingmoor Depot is a short walk from this stop.

Or there is a special shuttle bus from Carlisle Railway Station to The Redfern Inn at a cost of £2 each way starting at 8.30am throughout the day.
