DRS Open Day – Saturday 19th July 2014
On Saturday 19th July 2014 DRS welcomed over three thousand visitors to our annual charity event that this year was hosted at our Gresty Bridge Depot in Crewe.
DRS hauls passenger service for Abellio Greater Anglia
In June, DRS began a two-year contract to provide a locomotive hauled service to support Abellio Greater Anglia's passenger service in the Norfolk Broads.
DRS Class 68 to power Chiltern Railways’ Mainline route
DRS are delighted to announce that they have signed an agreement with Chiltern Railways to provide six Class 68 locomotives which will service in the Birmingham to London Marylebone Mainline route.
DRS hauls Night Riveria Train
From 1st June 2014, DRS has provided a Class 57/3 locomotive to haul First Great Western's sleeper service, the Night Riveria Train and associated empty coach movements.

Golden Whistle Award 2014
DRS have been presented with a prestigious industry award for being the UK's 'Best Performing Rail Freight Operator' at this year’s “The Golden Whistle Awards”.
Empty Freight Train Incident
At approximately 19:00 on 14th January 2014, a DRS locomotive came into contact with an empty car that was stationary on a level crossing at Silverdale in the Carnforth area. No one was injured.
Class 68 performance testing underway

Brief – Rail Incident at Gloucestershire (updated 18/10/13 – 10:30hrs)
At approximately 20:30 on 15th October 2013, a single wagon on a DRS train was involved in a derailment in the Gloucester area.
